About ECR Research
ECR Research is a renowned international provider of independent research in the field of macroeconomis, political risks, interest rates, currency markets and stock indices. We work for senior management in large businesses, (central) banks and asset management companies. Our publications support efficient asset allocation and risk management decisions. At www.ecrresearch.com we offer 18 different publications to which clients can subscribe.
What you will be doing
You will be part of an enthusiastic team of analysts who each approach the market based on their own expertise. For example, we have a political analyst, a technical analyst, as well as specialists who analyse the markets from a fundamental perspective. The team of analysts performs secondary research; we read the most interesting publications from banks, brokers, international institutions and independent research houses. This means that working in our team will enable you to learn a great deal in a short period of time so as to be able to make an assessment regarding prospects for the financial markets. In addition, you will take up practical matters such as making graphs, proof reading publications and updating our morning publications.
We also offer final-year students the opportunity to graduate. Being a graduate at ECR means you will also be part of our team of analysts, you will contribute to our publications and work on your thesis at the same time. We will jointly discuss how you spend and allocate your time.
What we ask:
A university student in the field of macroeconomics, financial economics or economic history with a strong interest in the financial markets;
Ambitious work attitude with good communication and language skills;
Eager to learn and with an eye for quality;
Available for a minimum of 4 months (the start date can be discussed);
Fluency in English and preferably a good command of Dutch.
What we offer:
Working at ECR Research means working with approximately 40 highly trained and predominantly young, ambitious colleagues in a professional working environment. You will be located at an attractive office in the centre of Utrecht (above De Bijenkort department store). You will receive an internship allowance and you will have ample leeway to continue to develop in the field of macroeconomics. If you want to graduate with us, we will be happy to contribute ideas in terms of the subject of your thesis. If you enjoy it and are suitable for a role as an analyst, a full-time starter’s role after graduation would be quite possible as far as we are concerned.
