General Terms and Conditions

Article 1. Definitions 

1.1 General Terms and Conditions – the following document and its contents

1.2 ECU’92 – the company Economie Combinatie Utrecht 19992 registered with the Kamer van Koophandel under the number 40482278 

1.3 Member – the natural person who purchases one of ECU’92’s membership packages

1.4 Participant – the natural person, member and/or non-member, that is a visitor at any event organised, hosted or otherwise facilitated by ECU’92 

1.5. Ticket – a digital admission ticket for an ECU’92 event 

Article 2. Applicability 

2.1 These terms and conditions are applicable to participants of any event organised, hosted or otherwise facilitated by ECU’92 

2.2 Event location

Article 3. Ticket sale 

3.1. Participants must be in possession of a valid ticket 

3.2. Buyers of the ticket are permitted to resell their tickets to another person, under the following conditions: 

a) The new owner of the ticket has to be eligible for the ticket, i.e. be an ECU’92 member if he/she purchased a member ticket 

b) The new owner of the ticket will be allowed to participate in the event only if he/she is able to prove the origin and transfer of the ticket or has informed ECU’92 prior to the event about the change and had his ticket details changed 

c) ECU’92 voids any responsibility for the transfer and resale of tickets 

3.3. Economic Conference Utrecht and Career Day events are free of charge but they might include a no-show fee. Participant agrees to the fact that should he/she not show up, he/she will be liable for the fee as described in the signup form. 

Article 4. Modification and cancellation policy 

4.1. ECU’92 reserves the right to cancel or postpone an event in case of force majeure in the broadest sense of the word and any events beyond ECU’92s control. 

4.2. ECU’92 has the right to postpone or cancel an event for any reason. 

4.3. After a ticket has been bought, ECU’92 will only refund the ticket under extraordinary circumstances and on a case by case basis. 

4.3. In case cancellation of a full event described in Article 4.1., the participants are entitled to a full refund (excluding service charges).

Article 5. Liabilities and damages 

5.1. If liability is established, ECU ’92 will only accept liability and resulting reimbursement that are the direct result of ECU’92 actions that are covered by the ECU ’92s insurer and only up to the amount covered by the ECU’ 92s insurer. 

5.2. The participant will be held liable for any damages resulting from all damages concerning an event, that are caused by the participant to themselves, ECU’92, other participants, employees, location or anything that is at the location or any other third parties concerned 

5.3. Event location or host can have differing policies and terms and conditions than ECU ’92. In this case, regulations of the host/location shall apply 

5.4. ECU’92 is not liable for the damages resulting from force majeure.

Article 6. Intellectual property rights, copyright and visual material 

6.1. ECU’92 is permitted to take and publish photos and/or videos of the events organised by ECU’92. 

6.2. Upon signing-up for the event, the participant and any other committee volunteers in service of ECU ’92 give permission to store and publish these photos and/or videos on ECU’92 website, member platform (Codex), and/or social media (Instagram, LinkedIn and/or Facebook), in order to promote ECU’92 events and the ECU’92 brand image. This material will be published only after careful consideration. 

6.3. Published material constitutes intellectual property of ECU’92, and cannot be altered or published without permission from ECU’92 

6.4. ECU’92 holds the right to remove any material published 

6.5. The aforementioned photographic and/or videographic material will be used and stored as long as ECU’92 sees fit.

6.6. Any person depicted in the photos and/or videos has the right to request the removal of the aforementioned published and stored material by contacting secretary@ecu92.nl. 

Article 7. Privacy and data protection 

7.1. ECU’92 processes personal data in accordance with its privacy policy 

7.2. Following registration for an event organised, promoted or facilitated in any way by ECU ’92, your data will be stored in order to inform you about anything related to that activity. Your registration data can therefore be shared with ECU’92, ECU’92 committees, and/or third parties involved in organisation of the activities.
